When not editing videos or creating content, longtime Creativity Squared and Sociality Squared team member Edward Gibbons-Brown is a NYC-based theatre artist. Lately, he’s been hard at work preparing for the world premiere of his new short play WALK IT OFF, which will debut in-person and via virtual livestream as part of the Chain Theatre Winter One-Act Festival this month from February 20th-29th.

Carlo Marks Returns to the Stage
WALK IT OFF, which will be featured alongside over 60 other new plays in the festival, stars Carlo Marks as Spence, a former high school football star who goes for a walk…and doesn’t stop! Through memories of coaches, his ex-wife, fleeting relationships, and his father’s death, he confronts toxic ideals of masculinity that have shaped his life and grapples with who he has become and what lies ahead.
Audiences will recognize Marks from Smallville, Pretty Little Liars, Making Spirits Bright, and other Hallmark Chanel productions such as the popular Chesapeake Shores.
Carlo was also recently featured in the recurring role of Cillian in The CW’s hit show The 100, in addition to film roles including The Bone of a Whale, Crossroads, Indie Jonesing, and the short Sex, Drugs, & Awkward Office Encounters. Carlo was also featured in the web series Lovebites, produced by Paul Reiser.
Carlo is often found treading the boards from Vancouver to NYC, but he hasn’t appeared onstage in several years — this world premiere production marks his triumphant return to stage work!
